Downtown Belfast is very historic; the fine architecture has been photographed and enjoyed by many. Along with the traditional businesses, Belfast has many specialty shops. At the foot of Main Street is Belfast's pride and joy--the waterfront. Here you will find waterfront dining, a lovely park, foot bridge, a public boat landing and cruises offered in season. Maybe it's the theater or the local art galleries that bring you to town, the railroad, or the bay cruises; Belfast is unique in its history and its surroundings.Young's Lobster Pound, and Perry's Nut House Gift Shop are all across the street and you'll be within walking distance to the shore while staying with us. There are many other fine restaurants offering a wide variety of menus within a few miles.
From the Motel you can easily drive south through Camden and Rockland and on to Boothbay Harbor or head north to Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park or maybe to Castine to visit the famous Sea Captains' community and home of Maine Maritime Academy. Following Route 1 from Belfast through Searsport there are many fine shops and weekend Flea Markets. Searsport is the Antique Capital of Maine.
